Frequently Asked Questions

EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROSEYS BUT WERE AFRAID YOU’D GET BITTEN BY THE BEARDED WOMAN IF YOU DID.

Come one, come all, to the greatest explanatory cohabitation of written words ever devised. If you've got a conundrum, quandary or kumquat, we’ve got your declaratory statement.

Should my work be entered as a campaign or several singles?

Glad you asked, friend. Campaigns are a money-saving way to enter multiple pieces of related work, usually supporting the same creative idea and goal.

Example: Enter three different television spots as a campaign for $80 (PAF member price), rather than as individual submissions at $65 each. You save $115!

What if I want to enter the same campaign in multiple categories?

Go right ahead! Each category acts as a multiplier to the base price, be it series or single piece. Pick categories that apply to the pieces within your campaign.

Example: Your launch campaign for that great new widget included billboards, high-budget TV commercial, and a great mobile application that included the best user interface this side of the iPhone. You enter the work as a campaign ($80) and in four categories (Interactive User Design, Mobile Advertising, Out of Home and Television over $50K), for a grand total of $320. That's an investment in success, bub!

What's that Dodo at the bottom of the page talking about?

Good eye. You would make an excellent island colonist/hunter-gatherer. The Dodo speaks in Tweets. If you’d like to see your thoughts appear on these illustrious pages, simply tweet your Rosey-related text bytes and use the hash tag #roseyawards. You can follow us on twitter here, or by following @roseyawards.

Where's the event going to be this year?

We're still working out the details, but rest assured, we'll be building on the carnival-esque party atmosphere of the 2010 Rosey awards. No stage shows, no skits or snakes. Well, maybe some snakes. We're still working on that.

I am a snake handler and I’d like to be considered as an entertainer. Who should I contact?

We are on the lookout for all manner of entertainers, especially those with reptile- and/or tiger/liger-handling skills. If you fit the bill, please contact Katja Asaro at Henry V. We're also looking for other entertainment options, in all seriousness, especially if they are free or you will pay to entertain us.

I would like to sponsor this year's Roseys with a large cash donation.

That is not really a question, but it is a most-welcome statement. Please contact Jamie Sexton at 503-224-2623 or [email protected].

When will event tickets go on sale?

Check back on this here web site in late October. You can also become a fan on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for information as it becomes available.

How can I get involved with the event?

If you would like to volunteer in event planning or at the event itself, please contact Jamie Sexton at 503-224-2623 or [email protected].

I have a question that isn’t answered here. What gives?

We're not fortune tellers here. Contact Jamie at 503-224-2623 or [email protected] with any other questions.

I am a fortune teller and I'd like to be considered as an entertainer. Who should I contact?

We think you should already know the answer to that if you are really psychic.
